Shipping

Crafting time: most pieces are made to order and need about 2–5 business days. The current estimate for this design is shown on the product page.

Standard international shipping: free, usually 7–15 days after dispatch.

Express options: paid express shipping is available at checkout to speed up the international transit time. Crafting time itself cannot be rushed, so we can keep the quality and careful checks.

You can follow your parcel until it arrives.

Returns & After-sales

If your standard (non-custom) piece arrives damaged or very different from the description/photos, we will help you with a replacement or full refund and cover all shipping costs.

If you simply change your mind or feel it is not right for you (for non-custom pieces), you can return the item within 14 days from the delivery date. In this case, return shipping is paid by you, and we will refund the product price after we confirm it is undamaged.

For custom-made pieces (for example, sizes or details made only for you), we cannot accept returns unless there is a clear quality issue.

To protect your rights, we strongly recommend recording a short unboxing video when you open the parcel, so we can help you quickly if anything goes wrong in transit.

1. Store away from direct sun and heat/AC vents; keep indoor humidity around 40–60% for best wood stability.
2. Wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth only — no soaking, abrasives, alcohol, or solvents; keep away from liquids.
3. Use on a stable surface and handle gently — do not pull wings/rods; USB-C (5V) charging only, do not operate while charging; if stored long-term, top up the battery about every 3 months.

We are a young Chinese couple, Cecilia Chen and Oliver Sun. FolkMake exists to bring real handmade work in China to a wider world — pieces that feel honest, well made, and worth living with for a long time.
