An Artisan-Co-Created Brand
Who We Are
FolkMake is a collaborative brand co-created by a group of traditional artisans—including our co-founding glass artist, Glen Wang. Our online operations team consists of younger craftsmen who work across various handmade fields.
Pure Transparency
Our model is straightforward: after deducting essential brand operating costs, all remaining profits from every purchase go directly to the first-line artisans.
Sustainable Creation
This fully transparent cycle secures fair compensation, robust welfare, and sustainable creation capacity for our master creators.
FolkMake exists to bring exceptional Chinese craftsmanship into clearer view
Too many remarkable handmade works in China are never seen with the clarity, context, or trust they deserve. FolkMake was created to change that. Our alliance creates and refines each rare piece from the ground up, bringing them forward with the care, respect, and confidence exceptional craft deserves.
We started FolkMake because too much exceptional work was going unseen
Across China, there is no shortage of remarkable handmade work — only a shortage of clear access, strong presentation, and the trust needed to bring it further. Too many pieces are never seen beyond their immediate circle, not because they lack quality, but because they are never given the context they need to be understood and valued. FolkMake was co-founded to change that.
What FolkMake does differently
We do more than just make handmade work. Our alliance crafts each piece with care, inspects it rigorously, presents it clearly, and stands behind it with total trust.
FolkMake is crafted piece by piece, with care
Behind FolkMake is a close, considered process of bringing rare craftsmanship forward. In our studio, we spend time deep in materials, alongside our master creators, shaping finished pieces where every single detail is earned. What reaches our collection is not there by volume, but by strict dedication — crafted for its exceptional artistry, unique character, and the feeling that it deserves to last.
