    Each CosmoWhirl Orb is made one at a time in borosilicate glass, with a genuine opal center and silver-and-gold fuming.

    Necklace and Bracelet orbs are approx. 2.2 cm / 0.87 in. Display Orbs are approx. 3.3 cm / 1.30 in.

    Every piece is flameworked by Glen Wang within FolkMake’s craft studio — not dropshipped, not anonymous factory-made.

    Before leaving our studio, each orb is inspected for visual balance, inner depth, finish, and overall presence. If a piece does not meet our standard, it is not shipped.

      The photos and videos show past finished pieces. Your orb will not be a replica of any single past piece, because the inner world forms naturally in the flame — but it will stay within your selected visual direction, size range, material standard, and finishing standard.

      Before leaving our studio, each piece is inspected for visual balance, inner depth, finish, and overall quality. If it does not meet our standard, it is not shipped.

      Why Supernova Remnant Is So Rare

      Supernova Remnant is the rarest visual direction in the CosmoWhirl series, inspired by the luminous trace left after a star’s final explosion. Its inner world feels deep, fluid, and drifting — like color still moving through space after the blast.

      This direction takes more attempts and has a much lower yield. We cannot force every firing to become a Supernova Remnant; only the pieces that naturally reach this level of depth, movement, and visual intensity are released.

      Choose it when you want the most limited, most visually striking, and most collectible version of CosmoWhirl Orb.

        CosmoWhirl Orb’s glow comes from glass, opal, silver-and-gold fuming, and the way light moves through the piece.

          Why It Takes Time

          Each CosmoWhirl Orb is made to order, one at a time. The blue orb shown here is one of our studio samples—beautiful, but not released because it did not fully meet our standards for depth, balance, and overall presence.

          Based on our long-term studio experience, roughly one in every 20–30 regular-style attempts is approved for release. For Supernova Remnant pieces, that figure is closer to one in every 50–60 attempts. These are approximate studio averages, as every piece behaves differently in the flame.

          That time is spent forming, annealing, inspecting, and sometimes starting again. The orb you receive is not simply the first one out of the flame—it is the one that meets our studio standard.
