SongVault Box Bag brings the architectural beauty of Song brocade into a modern, structured silhouette. The brocade panels are handwoven using traditional Song brocade techniques, where patterns are built directly into the fabric through controlled warp lifting and frequent weft color changes. Paired with structured full-grain cowhide leather, the design balances softness and strength, ornament and restraint.

Craft Process

Song brocade is a Chinese intangible cultural heritage textile craft. Song brocade is handwoven through a classic jacquard workflow: artisans first turn the pattern into a weave plan (color separation and structural mapping), then prepare and align thousands of silk warp threads with even tension. On the loom, the jacquard mechanism lifts selected warps while multiple weft colors are inserted and switched frequently, so the motif is built line by line directly in the weave rather than printed on the surface. After weaving, the brocade is carefully checked and finished, then cut into panels for the bag. The panels are stabilized and edge-finished, then assembled with full-grain leather trims and reinforced corners to hold the box structure. Hardware and zipper components are installed, the shoulder strap is fitted, and the interior lining is sewn in with a zippered divider pocket, followed by a final inspection for alignment, stitching, and smooth closure.

Handmade Character

Each bag is made in small batches using handwoven Song brocade, resulting in natural variations in pattern alignment and texture. These subtle differences are part of the handmade character, making every piece slightly unique while maintaining the same overall structure and quality.

1. Avoid prolonged contact with water, moisture, or direct sunlight to protect the Song brocade and leather.
2. Clean gently with a dry, soft cloth; do not machine wash or use chemical cleaners.
3. When not in use, store in a dust bag and keep the bag structured to maintain its shape.

Shipping

Crafting time: most pieces are made to order and need about 2–5 business days. The current estimate for this design is shown on the product page.

Standard international shipping: free, usually 7–15 business days after dispatch.

Express options: paid express shipping is available at checkout to speed up the international transit time. Crafting time itself cannot be rushed, so we can keep the quality and careful checks.

All orders ship from Asia and US hubs with tracking so you can follow your parcel until it arrives.

Returns & After-sales

If your standard (non-custom) piece arrives damaged or very different from the description/photos, we will help you with a replacement or full refund and cover all shipping costs.

If you simply change your mind or feel it is not right for you (for non-custom pieces), you can return the item within 14 days from the delivery date. In this case, return shipping is paid by you, and we will refund the product price after we confirm it is undamaged.

For custom-made pieces (for example, sizes or details made only for you), we cannot accept returns unless there is a clear quality issue.

To protect your rights, we strongly recommend recording a short unboxing video when you open the parcel, so we can help you quickly if anything goes wrong in transit.
