Description
Description
This handmade ceramic and pearl earring set is crafted in small batches by Craft Artist Wei Ziwen in China. Each piece portrays a fish entangled in fine silver threads, symbolizing the fragile coexistence between nature and human creation. Combining kiln-fired porcelain with delicate metal weaving, this work transforms environmental reflection into wearable art - a meaningful gift for those who cherish craftsmanship and mindful design.
Behind the Product
Beneath its elegant surface lies a quiet story. Inspired by the sight of marine life entangled in plastic waste, Craft Artist Wei Ziwen reimagined the trapped fish through ceramic, silver threads, and pearls. The woven net at the center of each fish symbolizes the suffocating beauty of pollution - graceful yet sorrowful. This piece is not merely jewelry, but a gentle reflection on nature, empathy, and awareness.
Materials
Ceramic, metallic thread, natural freshwater pearls, 925 silver hooks or clips
Craft Process
Each fish-shaped ceramic body is kiln-fired with pre-set holes, hand-painted with glaze, and finally handwoven with silver thread and pearls through the prepared holes. Multiple firings and delicate assembly ensure a balance between texture and structure.
Craft Artist
Wei Ziwen
A ceramic Craft Artist who explores the fusion of two seemingly contrasting techniques - kiln-fired porcelain and crochet. Her work reflects a pursuit of harmony between hardness and softness, precision and spontaneity. Each creation is a dialogue between patience and uncertainty, as the process often requires multiple trials before achieving a single success.

Handmade Character
This work is made with natural mineral glaze, unlike industrial chemical glazes. Small pinholes, iron spots, glaze drips, or uneven surfaces may occur during firing - these are natural handmade characteristics that do not affect quality or beauty. Each piece is entirely handmade with about 90% consistency, making every item truly one of a kind.
Product Care
Product Care
1. Store each ceramic piece separately to avoid collision.
2. Earring hooks, studs, and backs are made of 925 silver; avoid prolonged contact with water or chemicals.
3. Ceramic is fragile, handle gently during wear and storage.
