    Handmade by FolkMake artisan and glass artist Mia Glaze, who has spent over a decade exploring ocean and aurora themes through lampwork glass. Her work uses layered color and light to evoke the movement and quiet wonder of the northern lights.

    We offer free worldwide shipping, with duties and taxes already included in the final price. Tracking information will be provided once your order ships.

    Because each AuroraVeil Orb is custom and made to order, the first 24 hours after your order is placed are used for material preparation. During this time, you can contact us to cancel your order and receive a full refund or change the form you selected. After this 24-hour preparation period, production begins, and the order can no longer be cancelled and the selected form can no longer be changed.

    If your piece arrives damaged, you receive the wrong item, or there is another clear issue with your order, please contact us first and send us photos or, if available, an unboxing video. FolkMake will cover all shipping costs for any replacement. Depending on the situation, we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

    The aurora is the kind of sight that makes everything else go quiet for a moment. AuroraVeil was created to bring that feeling into everyday life — a small reminder of something extraordinary, with colors that make you pause and look again.

    Sunlight reveals the depth inside AuroraVeil. As you turn the orb, layers of blue and green seem to shift within the glass, while tiny points of light flicker in and out of view. What looks still at first begins to feel almost alive.

    A Closer Look at the Craft 

    At just 2.2 cm / 0.87 in across, AuroraVeil holds a surprising amount of detail: flowing, ribbon-like forms, suspended layers of color, a carefully placed opal, and tiny points of light. Creating these effects takes precise heat control and timing — skills Mia Glaze has refined through more than a decade of lampwork.

      No two AuroraVeil Orbs are exactly alike. The photos and videos show past finished pieces as visual references. Your orb will follow the palette and glass interior you choose, while the exact color flow, opal placement, and small details will naturally vary.

      Choose Artist’s Choice if you do not want to compare colors. Our studio will select a strong, signature AuroraVeil look for you.

      Yes. Add your preference in the Order Notes box in your cart — for example, “crescent opal,” “round opal,” or a preferred color direction. We’ll do our best to follow your request, though handmade variations mean an exact match cannot be guaranteed.

      Clear keeps the glass cleaner and more transparent, letting the aurora layers stand out. With Sparkle Flecks adds tiny reflective details that flash as the orb moves through the light. Choose this directly under Glass Interior — no cart note is needed.

      Each orb is hand-flameworked from borosilicate glass from U.S. glassmaker Corning, with an opal detail set within the glass. Avoid hard drops, strong impacts, sudden temperature changes, ultrasonic cleaning, and abrasive cleaners. Wipe gently with a soft microfiber cloth.

      Each AuroraVeil Orb is made to order. Crafting usually takes 3–7 days, followed by approximately 7–15 days for delivery. Tracking is provided once your order ships.
