Using traditional Ronghua techniques, fine mulberry silk and copper wire are shaped into orchid petals with soft gradients of lilac and green, accented by freshwater pearls. The SilkBloom Orchid French Pin embodies the poetic elegance of traditional Ronghua, an ancient Chinese silk flower art once used in imperial adornments. Each petal is crafted from dyed mulberry silk, wrapped by hand with copper wire, and arranged layer by layer to capture the natural movement of blooming orchids. The subtle pearl accents add a refined contrast between delicacy and strength.

Craft Process

Following the traditional Ronghua process: silk threads are boiled, dyed, and combed; then clamped with fine copper wire and twisted by hand into even velvet cords. The craftsman trims and heat-shapes each petal, then assembles them layer by layer into a balanced floral composition. The final piece captures the light, texture, and natural rhythm of real orchids.

Returns & Exchanges
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for handmade items. If the item arrives damaged, incorrect, or materially not as described, contact info@folkmake.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a complete, continuous unboxing video (from sealed parcel to inspection). Keep all packaging and accessories. We will review and, if approved, arrange repair or replacement; if a like-for-like replacement is not feasible, we will refund to your original payment method. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address by email.
